We take pride in our commitment to be a green venue. Our goal is to continue the legacy of Dr. Bernard Jensen by implementing green practices into our operation and encouraging our guests to to the same.
Here are few things we do:
-We recycle all aluminum, paper and plastic.
-We compost green waste and food scraps
-We reuse and repurpose all building materials.
-We avoid hazardous chemicals including cleaning supplies,pesticides, herbicides etc...
-We water the property with only our well water and use water conserving irrigation techniques
-We plant California native and drought tolerant plants to cut back on watering.
-We use propane powered appliances or energy efficient appliances.
-Our orchards and gardens are completely organic
-There are no large machines on the property. Most of the work is hand done including weed pulling.
-Guests get 1 set of towels and sheets during their stay so we can cut back on laundry.
-Our guests (especially for weddings) decrease their carbon footprint by not driving from the ceremony to the reception to the hotel.
-We work to preserve the natural state of the property and protect the flora and fauna.
