Q: What is included in Hidden Valley Retreat and Spa's packages?
A: Hidden Valley Retreat and Spa is a vacation rental that you rent to host your own event. As the guest you are able to bring in everything you need for your event like planner, catering, photography, rentals, etc. We do, however, have some items you may rent for use (chairs, tables, linens) as well as a list of amazing vendors that we've worked with before and highly recommend.
Q: Can I bring in my own vendors?
A: Yes, we allow outside vendors. Since our property is rural we are happy to meet with the vendors prior your to event to coordinate arrival and set-up areas. We cannot accept deliveries prior to your check-in and you will be responsible for providing insurance to cover liability.
Q: What are the rates to have an event at your property?
A: This depends on the date and length of stay. Our basic wedding package prices can be viewed here. For all other rates, please send us an email.
Q: What is the deposit?
A: The 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your reservation. The remaining balance is due no later than 2 weeks prior to your retreat.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: In the event you must postpone your visit, your non-refundable deposit may be transferred once to another date, within four months. Groups that cancel a confirmed reservation within 21 days of their scheduled arrival date will forfeit their total deposit and are not eligible to transfer their deposit to another date.
Q: Is there a security deposit?
A: There is a $1000 refundable security deposit. The Security Deposit is required prior to arrival and will be included in your total payment. Hidden Valley Retreat will gladly refund your security deposit after we have made a satisfactory exit inspection of the facility following your stay. The details to receiving your full security deposit back are outlined on our check-out procedures and on your contract.
Q: Do you have any daytime wedding packages on weekends?
A: We do not have daily rentals for weddings on the weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Because our property is more suited for overnight guests, we only rent it out as a weekend package. This allows you to host 40 overnight guests Friday-Sunday and 150 daytime guests the day of the wedding. You can view our Weekend Wedding Package here.
Q: I have more than 40 overnight and 150 daytime guests. Can I still have my event at Hidden Valley Retreat and Spa?
A: Due to liability and property issues, we cannot host more than 150 guests on the property. Our overnight limit is 40 guests due to the amount of beds available. For special consideration, please ask.
Q: Will a caretaker be on the property during my stay?
A: Because our property is rural, a caretaker will be on the property when you stay there. The caretaker will be available for any property-based questions, rentals, and in case of emergency. We are available if you need us, but we respect our guests' privacy. Unless you want us around we will make ourselves scarce and you will be able to enjoy your stay in peace and quiet. We just want you to be secure in knowing that if you need anything we are here to help.
Q: What are your check-in/check-out times?
A: Check-in is at 2pm and Check-out is at 12pm. If we do not have any parties checked in before or after your stay, we would be happy to extend these times upon request.
Q: What is your alcohol policy?
A: We allow you to bring your own alcohol. Alcohol will be covered under your required liability insurance. You must dispose of all empty bottles before checkout (recycling provided upon request). Glass is not allowed in the pool patio area, so you must have plastic cups if you are drinking there. We suggest that you designate a non-drinking supervisor to regulate the alcohol consumption and deal with any incidences that may occur related to drinking (e.g. finding sober rides for intoxicated guests, subduing belligerent guests, and making sure no one drives home intoxicated).
Q: What is Liability Insurance and why is it required?
A: The coordinator is required to provide insurance where Hidden Valley Retreat and Spa is listed as additionally insured. It can either be a homeowner's policy or event insurance purchased for the entire length of their group's stay. This liability insurance covers you and your guests when you stay at the retreat and any accident that may happen while onsite. Please contact your insurance broker, or you can purchase event insurance here.
